• Library hours 7:00am-3:30pm, but may be periodically closed for meetings, classes or testing.
• Students must wear a current KHS ID visible above the waist at all times while in the Library.
• Students must have a current KHS ID to check out Library Books.
• Library books are checked out for a two-week period and fines are assessed at 10cents per book for late books.
• Students will be charged replacement fees for lost books.
• Students must have a signed Internet Agreement on file and IDs stamped to use the Library computers.

1. Students must have a current KHD ID card in their possession to check out a textbook.

2. Textbooks will only be checked out for your current class schedule.

3. Upon receiving your books, students need to examine each book carefully and report any damage to the textbook clerk within one week of the check-out date.

4. DO-NOT leave books lying around or loan them to friends. If a textbook is taken, even from a classroom, the student will be held responsible and will be charged for that textbook. Lost or stolen textbooks must be reported to security and the Library immediately. After the original textbook is paid for, a placement copy may then be issued.

5. When students return textbooks, they need to wait for a clerk to scan each book in order to verify that the book returned is actual copy they checked out (same barcode number).

6. All textbooks checked out during the year are due back by the last day of the school year. A $5.00 PER BOOK OVERDUE FEE MAY BE ASSESSED FOR EACH TEXTBOOK RETURNED LATE. If a student drops a class or leaves school, his/her textbooks are due immediately.

7. Damages incurred by the students, will be charged accordingly.

8. Seniors will not be cleared for graduation until all books are returned and fines are paid.

Excessive damage thatresults in the textbook being deemed unusable will result a replacement charge (cost of a new book)

• All books checked out in your name are responsible to return, don’t assume that someone else (even a teacher) will return them for you
